Even though there have been ups and downs, Android has stayed on top, reaching its highest point at 76.18% in 2019. It's especially strong in places like Africa and South America, where its market share is over 85%.

  • Android's market share is currently 45.77% on tablets and 72.15% on mobile devices

  • Android's share of the tablet market hit its highest point at 48.99% in late 2022, while its mobile market share peaked at 76.18% in mid-2019

  • By the end of 2024, Android's tablet market share had dropped to 45.77%, which was quite a bit lower than its mobile share of 72.15%
